Turkish pizza, easy to make and delicious with all the vegetables and garlic sauce. This version is with tortilla wraps instead of homemade dough. The big advantage, it saves time. Here in Amsterdam, you can easily buy one at a Turkish baker. Over there they roll up the pizza in aluminum foil and then leave the top open. The best way to do it because you won’t spill sauce all over yourself. Great and easy food to have once in a while. If you make your own garlic sauce I recommend making that first.

Preparation 15 minutes, cooking time 15 minutes.
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 250 grams of minced beef/lamb
- 1 teaspoon of sambal
- small can of tomato paste
- 1 red paprika
ingredients pizza topping:
- 1 iceberg lettuce
- 4 tomatoes
- 2 Red onions
- garlic sauce preferably homemade.
- large tortilla wraps
For the sauce start off with adding curly parsley (without the stems) onion, tomatoes, tomato puree, teaspoon sambal, and paprika to blender or food processor and blend it until it’s nice and smooth. Stir fry the minced meat until done. Add the sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes.
Meanwhile cut the tomatoes, red onion and lettuce finely.
Heat a frying pan without oil or butter, put in a tortilla and brush some sauce over the tortilla, not too thick and leave about 1 cm free from the edges. Don’t heat the tortilla too long or it will get too hard to roll. Put the Turkish pizza on a piece of aluminum foil and divide some tomato, red onion, lettuce, garlic sauce and sambal over the middle. Roll the tortilla and wrap it in the foil leaving the top open Use part of the foil to close off the bottom.
