Kale and strawberry smoothie. An easy breakfast with a significant benefit of receiving a good part of your daily vegetables and fruit for the day. Usually, I use thawed strawberries out of the freezer in the winter and fresh kale. At the beginning of spring, I usually put a few bags of kale into the freezer and take a big hand out of it whenever I make this smoothie. I prefer to make it with vanilla yogurt because it’s delicious. Of course, you can also use lean yogurt, if you want it a bit sweeter add some vanilla sugar, about 8 grams. If you want your smoothie to be nice and thick don’t add any water.
Kale and strawberry smoothie
preparation 3 minutes, 2 minutes in the blender.
Ingredients for 2 people:
- 250 grams strawberries
- 1 big handful of fresh kale
- 300 ml semi-skimmed vanilla yogurt
- A dash of water
Remove the leaves from the strawberries. Insert the strawberries together with the kale, yogurt and a little bit of water into the blender. Let it run for about two minutes until the kale is cut up finely and all bigger pieces are chopped up. Pour the smoothie into two glasses.
