Homemade Hamburgers are delicious and way better than getting them at a fast food restaurant. The Hamburger is not too big and leaves plenty of room for some fries and salad on the side. Or you just eat two of them and skip the sidedishes. The weight of the burger (just the meat) is about 90 grams.

Instructions Homemade Hamburgers:

Mix all the herbs together with the bread crumbs. Add it together with 1 egg to the minced meat. Knead the meat for about one minute to mix in the egg and herbs. Divide the meat into 4 even pieces (± 90 grams each piece). Shape them into Hamburgers, the same size as the buns.

Homemade Hamburgers

Cut the onion into rings. Cut 10 sprigs of chives into small pieces to sprinkle on top of the egg (see picture on top). Cut the buns in half and grill them under your grill with the inside of the buns facing up, until golden brown. Put butter into the two frying pans. Heat up the first pan and fry the hamburgers for about 8 minutes. As soon as the burgers are on the stove heat the other frying pan over medium heat. Add the eggs and fry them over low to medium heat sunny side up.

Spread out a good layer of mayonnaise on the bun bottom, add arugula and red onion on top of it. If you like, you can add some ketchup and sliced tomato aswell.

When the burgers need to fry for 1 – 2 more minutes, lay the cheese on top of the burger and let it melt. Add the burgers to the buns and put the eggs on top. Sprinkle some chives over the eggs. Set bun tops in place.

Serve with fries and salad.

Enjoy your homemade hamburgers.
