Green pesto is so easy to make that there is no good reason to buy it. There is enough time to make the green pesto while you wait for the pasta to finish cooking. Unless you use fresh pasta, then I recommend making the pesto beforehand. If there is any Parmazaan leftover, you could use it to make Pasta with bacon another day.
Preparation 5 minutes, cooking time 5 minutes.
- pine nuts 30/40 grams
- olive oil
- black pepper
I used the mini food processor that came with the hand blender. If you don’t have a food processor use a blender or a hand blender. Put in the pine nuts and grind them. Add 5 big basil sprigs, just the leaves, grind again. Add a handful of grated Parmesan, half a clove of garlic, and a little bit of olive oil. Grind everything, add extra olive oil until the green pesto is nice and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.
